Are you looking for the best microjob sites online? Then this article is for you. My name is Muhammad Ali, and I’ve tested hundreds of different ways to make some extra money online. Many viewers have asked me for an updated list of the best microtask platforms. So, I decided to put together this guide where I will show you six realistic ways to do microtasks and earn some extra money.

What Are Microtasks?
Before I discuss the six options I want to show you, let’s first explain what microtasks are and what you can expect if you’re new to them. Microtasks can be defined in many different ways.
How I define it—and how most microtasks platforms do—is that it’s small, like, for example, social media tasks. It can also be a type of data entry task.
This guide is not focused on things like paid surveys or paid offers. In my definition, that is not actually what I define as microtasks. If you’re interested in surveys and paid offers, I do have plenty of information on that. You can watch some of my other videos or check the link below for an overview of the best survey and get-paid-to sites in different countries.
Here, we’ll focus on platforms that offer small social media tasks, small data entry tasks, and similar jobs. The advantage is that it’s something you can do no matter where you live. You can always find tasks on some of these platforms.
Just be aware:
- Microtasks do not always pay very well.
- Be critical—some tasks may pay decently, others very little.
- Some platforms allow tasks created by other users—this can sometimes lead to unethical tasks.
So always be selective with the tasks you accept. Do not expect to get rich or earn a full-time income. But with the right expectations, it can be an easy way to earn a bit extra.
Best Micro Job Sites
Below are six platforms where you can find microtasks. These have different types of tasks depending on your preferences and location. You can use one of them, all of them, or however many you want. It’s completely up to you.
1. Timebucks
The first platform I want to show you is called Timebucks. If you’re looking for small social media-type tasks, this is my favorite site. It pays more than most other similar platforms and has a low payout threshold.
- You can join from all countries
- Only need to earn $5 to withdraw
- Offers many other ways to earn to boost your earnings
To do small tasks, go to the Earn section, then click on Tasks. You’ll find tasks like typing a number, signing up for something, joining a Telegram channel, visiting a website, etc. The instructions and payment info are visible. The pay is decent compared to similar platforms.
2. Sproutgigs
The next platform is called Sproutgigs. It’s a very popular microtask platform specialized in these kinds of jobs. It currently has almost 600 jobs and many can be done from all country.
⚠️ Be critical here:
- Not all tasks pay well
- Some tasks are potentially unethical (e.g., creating Gmail accounts for others)
I do not recommend tasks like creating verified Gmail accounts—you never know what they’ll be used for, and you’ll only get paid like 8 cents.
Also, Sproutgigs has a very high withdrawal fee, up to 20%, so you get even less of the already small pay. It’s not my favorite platform, but it’s one of the biggest and most popular. Whether it’s right for you depends on your personal preferences.
3. Hive Micro
Hive Micro works both on desktop and through mobile apps (Android and iOS). Tasks here are usually AI training tasks or data entry:
- Draw a box around objects
- Categorize scenes
- Transcribe audio
- Track objects in videos
You can join from basically all countries. Payments are made weekly via PayPal or Bitcoin, offering great flexibility.
4. Fancy Hands (US Only)
Fancy Hands is a bit different—it’s only available in the US. It’s more like virtual assistant work, but in the form of small tasks.
Jobs include:
- Making phone calls
- Scheduling appointments
- Finding the best prices
- Hotel searching
- Data entry
It offers high pay, up to $7 per task, and sometimes more. It’s ideal if you’re in the US and want to earn well without long commitments.
5. OneForma
OneForma offers a variety of microtasks, such as:
- Data collection
- Translation
- Correction
- Judging
- Post-editing
- Annotation
Some tasks pay up to $9 per video, depending on your location and the type of task. It’s available worldwide, though some tasks are limited to specific locations. You need to apply and get approved before starting.
It doesn’t have as many tasks as other platforms, but some of them pay well and are worth checking out.
6. Clickworker
Clickworker offers a broad variety of small tasks and microjobs and is available in most countries. It has flexible payout options.
Examples of tasks:
- Taking pictures at certain locations
- Small data entry tasks (work from home)
It has a decent number of tasks. I haven’t had the best experience with their support, but many users like the variety of tasks available.
Final Thoughts
As you can see, there are quite a few different types of microtasks you can do completely for free. Just remember to:
- Have the right expectations
- Be critical and selective with the tasks you accept
- Choose the platforms that fit your preferences
