Eligibility Criteria

Key Responsibility
- Effectively led and supervised the AML commercial team by setting personal goals, monitoring output, and motivating employees to reach their full potential.
- Provide mentoring and on-the-job training for junior associates, and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Promote the bank’s values, vision, and culture by leading by example in terms of organizational ethics and values in direct and indirect reporting.
Continuous Improvement
- Determine how risks or control deficiencies in the system can be continuously and sustainably addressed along with the screening procedures for restrictions.
Reporting
- Prepare MI related to sanctions before submission to the HFCC, GECO, or MLRO.
Sanctions Advisory
- Be aware of relevant sanctions laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Collaborate on sanctions advice, including sanctions language, consumer due diligence, business transactions, vessel tracking, inbound and outbound cargo, military transactions, etc., with cross-functional business groups.
- Close the alerts within the allotted turnaround time per the Bank’s established procedures. Refer any outstanding reports to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) if they are not resolved promptly.
- To help reduce risk, the bank’s applicable sanctions regulations.
- Examine the sanctions alert results, then forward the verified match results to MLRO for additional reporting to the regulatory body.
- Assist the Head in advising customers on due diligence queries where sanctions risks are identified.
- Computation of screening lists of the screening system
- Help to prepare administrative Information, monthly activity reports, and MLRO reports.
- Maintain appropriate records as per bank policy and regulatory requirements, including several alerts generated, alerts closed, alerts outstanding, and suspicious transaction reports recommended.
- Review the results of sanctions alerts and submit verified matches to MLRO for necessary actions per regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with SROs, and screen lists using feedback from business units, regulators, and global trends.
- Help determine and evaluate potential money laundering, and financial transaction risks related to new products, services, business practices, and delivery methods.
- Manage sanctions approvals for trade-based transactions.
- Escalation of cases or alerts to the unit head, where exact matches are found with adverse entities, on a timely basis.
- Follow the IA’s recommendations if the Sanctions Unit is found to be at fault.
- Oversee the TBML review every month.
- Review and close commercial transaction monitoring (FCCM) alerts.
- joining the business inquiries related to commercial transactions.
- Review the monthly activity report.
- Examination and termination of trade transaction screening notifications (Accuity System).
- Perform UAT.
- SAR is reporting through GOAML.

- Serve as subject matter expert in sanctions policies, procedures, and processes.
